Submission Guidelines
Max. 3 Entries per Contestant
one entry per contestant will advance to finals
Photos must be taken in alaska (any time period accepted)
Post-processing allowed
generative ai tools used in post-processing may only be used for minor touch-ups
Photos must be in jpeg format (max. 24 gb's)
withdrawal requests must be emailed to evan@kobuk.coat least 48 hours before the event
original photography only - ai generated images are prohibited
entries found to violate contest rules may be disqualified at the organizers' discretion
Judging Criteria
Lighting - quality and use of natural or artificial light
framing, balance, and visual storytelling
originality and artistic interpretation of the theme "life in alaska"
Winner announcement
winners will be notified via email 2 weeks prior to the event
all finalists will be contacted directly
prizes to be announced via email
Number of finalists will be determined by quantity and quality of submissions
Rights & Opportunities
photographers retain full copyright of their work
finalists will have the option to have their photos printed and displayed at the finalist event
finalists will have the option to have their photos printed and sold at the event via on-site high-quality printing. Revenue from sales will be split 50/50 with the photographer
