Harvesting a Legacy follows the Ten Klay family, a tight-knit group of Bristol Bay set net fishermen, whose unique approach to salmon harvesting has become a tale of tradition, resilience, and camaraderie. Breaking away from the commercial fish processing giants, the Ten Klays sell their salmon directly to consumers and ensure each fish is a testament to their commitment to quality.

Living in an abandoned fish processing plant, the family sets up shop in one of the run down buildings, turning it into their makeshift home and base of operations. Through three generations, the Ten Klays have not only sustained a livelihood but have cultivated a way of life, passing down their craft and wisdom to friends who've become part of the extended fishing family.
